A small but lively group of students set out in January under perfect conditions to hike up the Eisenstein to the Julius Seitner Hut, where Bernhard – the hut keeper and also a parent from our school – welcomed us with an early dinner. In the evening, we played countless games before finally crawling, exhausted but happy, into our sleeping bags in the dormitory. The next day, we hiked back down and returned to St. Pölten and Vienna on the picturesque Mariazell Railway.
